I was born and raised in what used to be a little place called Gainesville, Florida. The most happening place was the WoolWorth off of 13th street. It was a great place to grow up though. You could ride bikes just about anywhere and no one would bother you. I have an identical twin sister. It's been an amazing life growing up sharing so many experiences together. I wouldn't want it any other way. My parents are wonderful people. They love to listen to live bands and you can usually find them near water. They love windsurfing and continue to stay very active. I was lucky to have grown up the way I did. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
It's hard for me to talk about myself without sounding narcissistic. I think the best quality to have is respect for others. The old saying "Treat others as you would like to be treated" is definitely my motto. I love to make people laugh and try to find humor in just about everything. I have a serious side when I need to be as well. I constantly stay up with what is new in my area and love to explore different things. I had to overcome many battles from dyslexia to ADD. I had to teach myself different ways to learn and wondered as a child if I would even graduate high school. Well I did and I continued on by getting an AA and then a BA in psychology. After spending several years working with children with mental health issues I decided that I wanted to do more and changed my path from psychology to technology. It was the best decision I have ever made. This is where I was supposed to be all along.
I have too many animals to mention them all but you can check out their pictures below. The two above were rescues that I adopted at 8 weeks. We had no idea who their parents were but they turned out to be the size of a kitten. They are mini ninjas. They get into everything and aren't scared like most cats. It's never a dull moment with them around. They are mud and pie. Get it?
I've always had animals growing up. They bring me happiness and comfort. Animals for centuries have provided us with love, warmth, and companionship. I feel safe with them around. They are wonderful at keeping your secrets and they never judge you. If you don't have a pet in you home, it's time to go and get one! Check out the links below of local rescues.
